Role OverviewThe Student Support Specialist will provide coordination and delivery of student-based services at designated school sites. This 10-month per year position has off in the summers. The role involves case management, assessment, linkage to service providers, home visitations, and additional follow-up to improve student attendance, increase academic performance, and decrease behavioral incidents.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities include performing case management, assisting with classroom management, providing feedback to the school-based team, maintaining records, and collaborating with school officials. The Specialist will also provide individual/group counseling and case management for identified students, intervene in crises/threat assessments, and serve as an ambassador for the CISEPA mission.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or related field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience within public education or community-based organizations
- Ability to work effectively with a broad range of representatives from public and private service organizations
- Experience in case management and youth counseling
- Knowledge of local human service network and effective teen behavior modification interventions
- Ability to manage details and work independently
