Role OverviewThe Subject Matter Expert (Support&Ops) will be a top-notch Exadata specialist with experience in RAC, ASM, Dataguard, Infiniband switch, and storage cell. They will have expertise in database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and migration using RMAN, datapump, and export/import. The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of production support experience as an Oracle DBA with at least 6 years of strong experience on the Exadata platform.
What You Will Do
The Subject Matter Expert (Support&Ops) will be responsible for managing high-performance, high-capacity databases in a critical production environment. They will aid development teams for analyzing issues, troubleshoot, and diagnose problems. They will also have expertise in SQL & Database Level performance tuning skills and experience in maintenance and management of databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control.

Requirements
- 10-12 years of production support experience as an Oracle DBA
- at least 6 years of strong experience on the Exadata platform
- Solid Oracle 11gR1/R2 RAC experience
- Experience in Clusterware (GRID Infrastructure) - CRS management and configuration
- Skilled in Oracle ASM and Dataguard administration
- Expertise in SQL & Database Level performance tuning skills
- Experience in backup and recovery and migration using RMAN, datapump, and export/import
- Experience in maintenance and management of databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control
- Experience on Solaris, Linux, and AIX OS including strong shell scripting skills
- Willingness to work in a 24*7 Global support model
- Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Strong initiative and sense of ownership
- Expert knowledge of database scripting and automation technology
- Experience working with offshore vendors
- Competent in Change/Release Management (ITIL based)
- Experience with Oracle@OCI and Oracle Cloud@Customer
