Role OverviewThe Subrogation Investigator will play a key role in managing claims involving damage or loss caused by third parties. They will investigate incidents, determine liability, and pursue recovery costs on behalf of J&R Schugel Trucking, Inc.
What You Will Do
The primary responsibilities of the Subrogation Investigator include gathering facts related to accidents or unknown damages, assessing the extent of damage, determining liability, and preparing and submitting claims to the responsible party or their insurance carrier.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement)
- 1 – 2 years of experience handling insurance claims
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to type a minimum of 35 wpm
- Able to read, write, and speak the English language fluently
- Ability to evaluate evidence, determine fault and strategize recovery efforts
- Confidence in negotiating settlements with insurance companies or third parties
- Familiarity with FMCSA regulations and insurance requirements
