Role Overview

We are seeking a Substance Use Counselor to join our team at the Bradley County Comprehensive Treatment Center. The Substance Use Counselor will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients seeking recovery from opioid use disorder. The team provides counseling and therapy to patients through individual and group sessions.

What You Will Do

As a Substance Use Counselor, you will provide high-quality, compassionate guidance in individual and group counseling sessions, plan and oversee patient recovery, and ensure all documentation is completed timely and in a clear manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in social or health services field
  • Previous experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings
  • Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI)
  • Documentation experience
  • Familiarity with state regulatory standards (e.g., 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, Joint Commission standards)
  • Experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary team
