Role OverviewAs a Substation CAD Technician at HDR, you will prepare engineering drawings using computer-aided design software, coordinate with engineers, and perform redline corrections. You will work with a team of engineers and designers to create reliable, resilient, and sustainable power systems. This role is part of HDR's Power sector, which helps shape how electricity is generated, transmitted, and delivered.
What You Will Do
Your main responsibilities will include preparing engineering drawings, coordinating with engineers, performing redline corrections, and developing design drawings from initial sketches. You will also perform discipline-specific drafting assignments and other duties as needed.

Requirements
- Technical degree or a minimum of 3 years related industry experience
- Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, MicroStation, and Revit
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
- Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
- Experience with 3D Coordination tools
- Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
