Role OverviewJoin AES Ohio as a Substation Design Engineer to play a key part in delivering reliable energy solutions and supporting critical projects. This is a fully on-site role at our Dayton Service Building.
What You Will Do
Perform detailed design of substations, produce engineering design packages, prepare procurement specifications, and provide engineering support to field crews.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Ideal candidate has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, experience with CAD software, and knowledge of electrical substation equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Experience with Bentley MicroStation or similar CAD software
- Passing grade on the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
- Familiarity with and application of electrical substation equipment
- Ability to work safely and integrate safety into engineering designs
