Role Overview

HDR's Power sector is seeking a Substation/Distribution Electrical Engineering Intern to help shape how electricity is generated, transmitted, and delivered. You'll work side-by-side with industry-recognized engineers on grid transformation projects, contributing to reliable, resilient, and sustainable power systems.

What You Will Do

Apply standard engineering techniques to create and modify substation physical drawings, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and equipment detail drawings. Complete grounding studies to mitigate dangerous step and touch potentials, and engage with engineers, drafters, and construction teams to execute designs for new services, maintenance, and renewable energy projects.
