Role OverviewHDR is an employee-owned company in the Power sector, focusing on how electricity is generated, transmitted, and delivered. This internship offers real-world experience on exciting projects, connecting with recent college graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs.
What You Will Do
Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager. Create/modify substation physical drawings including equipment selection and placement, complete grounding studies to mitigate dangerous step and touch potentials, and create/modify substation wiring diagrams and control schematics.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Candidates should be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program with attention to detail, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and basic Microsoft Office skills. Preference is given to local candidates and those with 2 years completed toward a degree with a 3.0+ GPA.
