Role OverviewArizona Public Service has an immediate opening for a Substation Journeyman in the Payson Distribution Automation group. The work hours are Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM (AZTime). The role requires working with aerial equipment, which has weight restrictions of 300lbs or less.
What You Will Do
The Substation Journeyman will perform journeyman-level high voltage substation duties with an electric utility or other entity operating and maintaining high voltage substation equipment.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Completed a Registered Electrician Apprenticeship Program OR an equivalent training program (as approved by APS T&D Technical & Safety Training) with one (1) year experience as an Electrician
- Commercial Driver’s License (Class “A”) with ability to meet all DOT requirements
- Must have at least a Class A CDL permit at the time of application, and a clean driving record
- Subject to overtime and/or out-of-town assignments
- Must live within reasonable distance (one (1) hour) of headquarters
