The Early Childhood Education Centers at Oakton College are seeking Qualified Substitute Teachers



 




Requirements:


Qualifications for Substitute Teachers



Minimum-



  • Bachelor degree in ECE preferred or
  • Associate degree in ECE or
  • Associate degree in related field with 35 hours of ECE credits
  • Three (3) years ECE classroom teaching experience with children 2-5 years of age
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Meets all ECE Essential Functions
  • Meet DCFS Background Check and Fingerprinting requirements


 



Qualifications for Substitute Assistant Teacher



Minimum-



  • 60 semester hours of college credit with 12 in ECE and one semester (20 hours) experience or
  • One year experience with young children, 30 hours of college credit with 12 in ECE or
  • An ECE credential recognized by DCFS and NAEYC
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Meets all ECE Essential Functions
  • Meet DCFS Background Check and Fingerprinting requirements





Additional Information:


Salary: $21.59 to $26.89 per hour



****This is a temporary position.  The incumbent is limited to 500 work hours. The duration of the assignment is to be determined, but will be less than one year and may be subject to changes in hours and schedule based on needs of the area.****
