Role Overview

The Substitute Nursing Instructor will provide high-quality instruction to students in the LVN program, combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on experience. The instructor will develop and implement curriculum, assess student progress, and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices. The position requires teaching both didactic and clinical courses.

What You Will Do

The instructor's primary responsibilities include organizing and delivering class objectives, maintaining a safe environment, evaluating student performance, and providing constructive feedback. The instructor will also identify and report on at-risk students, create individualized success plans, and provide periodic and ad-hoc reporting to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of clinical experience, active and unencumbered RN licensure in the state of FL, and a BSN degree. Requirements

  • Active and unencumbered RN licensure in the state of FL
  • 3 years of clinical experience
  • BSN required/MSN highly preferred
  • Demonstrate and explain clinical skills accurately
  • Present simulations, case studies, and hands-on training to reinforce learning
  • Provide hands-on training in a variety of clinical procedures, techniques, and processes
  • Expertise in the area of assignment that demonstrates the skills needed to provide instruction
  • Design and deliver engaging educational content, adapting teaching methods to diverse learning styles
  • Build rapport with students, clinical partners, and colleagues, fostering a positive learning environment
  • Flexibility to stay current with industry advancements and incorporate new knowledge into teaching practices
  • Competence in evaluating student performance and providing constructive feedback
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective instruction and interaction with students and colleagues
