Role OverviewA substitute teacher is responsible for enabling each child to pursue his or her education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of his or her regular teacher. The substitute teacher carries out the lesson plans of the regular teacher and meets the duties of teaching as outlined in the policies of the school and Archdiocese of San Antonio.
What You Will Do
Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups of students, supervise students in various settings, attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs, and perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in substituting or teaching experience preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver license
- Valid vehicle insurance
- Must pass archdiocesan Safe Environment Requirements and background screening
- Must pass Texas DPS Fingerprint-based Applicant Clearinghouse screening
