Summer 2027 Land Intern

The internship program provides students with hands-on experience, professional development, and exposure to career opportunities within D.R. Horton, its affiliated business functions, and the homebuilding and homebuying process.

What You Will Do

Support daily operations, assist with department-specific projects, learn and apply departmental responsibilities, collaborate with team members, participate in training programs, and explore career opportunities.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university and entering junior or senior year, or recently graduated
• Pursuing a degree or coursework related to the assigned internship area
• Demonstrated interest in learning about career opportunities within homebuilding, financial services, land development, corporate operations, technology, customer service, or other D.R. Horton business functions
• Strong willingness to learn, take initiative, ask questions, and contribute in a professional team environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members, customers, and business partners
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and follow instructions in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new software, systems, and processes as needed
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to adapt to varying work environments, including office, field, jobsite, corporate, remote, or hybrid settings
