Role OverviewDeliver standards-aligned academic instruction in core subject areas to students pursuing high school diplomas or equivalency credentials. Support students in earning high school diplomas or equivalency credentials, strengthening core academic skills, and progressing toward program completion. Work closely with Academic Managers, Counselors, and Career Technical Training staff to provide integrated, holistic student support.
What You Will Do
Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in core subject areas, differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic levels and learning needs, create a positive, structured classroom environment, utilize existing curriculum aligned with high school diploma and equivalency pathways, and conduct regular assessments to measure student progress.

Requirements
- Current New York State Teaching Certification required
- Active employment with the New York City Department of Education strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience in a public-school setting
- Experience working with at-risk youth, alternative education, or credit recovery programs highly preferred
