Job Description
The YMCA of Western North Carolina is seeking a Summer Camp Teacher to supervise program participants, assist in planning and implementing activities, and ensure a safe and enriching learning environment. The ideal candidate will have exceptional group management skills, be able to adapt to changing circumstances, and possess a teaching certificate or early childhood education certification.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Must possess an Elementary Education Teaching certificate or Early Childhood Education Certification.
  • Exceptional group management, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Must possess oral, auditory, and written communication skills appropriate for interacting with children and adults.
  • Must be capable of implementing an after-school site's daily administrative, program-related, and supervisory responsibilities.
  • Flexibility with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
