Role OverviewThis position is accountable for providing leadership, direction, and oversight for the Transmission and Distribution substation maintenance activities. The position promotes safe work behaviors and actions from all assigned employees and takes full responsibility for the safety culture within the workgroup.
What You Will Do
Develop, supervise, and direct the annual substation preventative, diagnostic, and corrective maintenance program. Responsible for monitoring weather conditions and outages and directing and management of restorations workers for minor storm events during both regular and after hours.

Requirements
- Technical degree or equivalent work experience
- 6-8 years related work experience with 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of Substation Work Management System, Automated Outage Request System, and Power plant applications
- Thorough knowledge of substation maintenance and construction practices
- Working knowledge of safe work procedures, Entergy Safety Manual, OSHA, and DOT regulations applicable to position
- Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Strong capabilities to work with computers and related technology
- Understanding of mechanical maintenance principles and relay schemes
- Ability to work irregular hours, overtime, and out of town assignments
- Capable of working multiple tasks simultaneously with adherence to deadlines
