Superintendent

The Superintendent will manage all functions of the job site as it relates to home construction while providing excellent customer service. The role involves managing the construction schedule, scheduling subcontractors, and ensuring quality and efficiency of work. The Superintendent will also be responsible for customer experience, community cleanliness, and post-close process for warranty.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities include managing the construction schedule, scheduling subcontractors, evaluating the quality and efficiency of their work, and ensuring work complies with local, state, and federal building code requirements. The Superintendent will also conduct homeowner orientations, provide regular communications, and address concerns.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Two to four years related experience
• Ability to manage and complete the “13 Milestones of Construction” specified in JDE
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and knowledge of all phases of new homes construction
• General knowledge of municipal permitting, regulations, and building codes
• Ability to converse with customers, all levels of management, and personnel
• Superb interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction
• Ability to control cost overruns and manage a budget
• Ability to utilize DRH Construction applications on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop
• Proficiency with MS Office and email
• Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; climb, balance, and stoop, crouch, or crawl; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
