Role OverviewThe Supervising Attorney for Training, Assigned Counsel Plan will create, implement and manage a training, mentoring and continuing legal education (CLE) program for 18-B Panel attorneys on criminal law, evidence, criminal procedure, immigration and a variety of other areas that impact the representation of indigent persons charged with crimes.
What You Will Do
The desired candidate will initiate outreach to 18-B Panel attorneys, the courts, bar associations and other organizations to assess training needs, identify and engage presenters, develop training and CLE classes, arrange for recording and posting of sessions, create new and update existing materials, implement pre and post-training assessments, and track registration and attendance.

The ideal candidate will have admission to the New York State Bar and four years of recent full-time responsible, relevant, satisfactory legal experience subsequent to admission, with eighteen months of experience in the supervision of other attorneys.
