Role OverviewAecon is seeking a Supervising Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical engineering and design effort on major power projects from conception to construction and final project closeout. The successful candidate will have experience supporting Nuclear Power Projects and will be responsible for managing the mechanical discipline lead on a project, developing mechanical calculations, reports, and design drawings, and coordinating an interdisciplinary team of engineers and designers.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the design of mechanical systems for convention generation (fossil fueled) power plants, a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a Professional Engineering (PE) license in the US. Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the design of mechanical systems for convention generation (fossil fueled) power plants
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering leadership position
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in US
- Experience with industry standard engineering software such as AFT Fathom and AFT Arrow, etc.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
