Role Overview

The Supervisor Carpenter will supervise the work of carpenters and other assigned personnel in the installation and repair work involving rough, finish and general carpentry. The role involves making decisions related to work procedures, preparing work schedules, and conducting field inspections. The Supervisor Carpenter will also prepare job orders, tool and material requisitions, and reports, and maintain records of work performed and supplies used.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Supervisor Carpenter include supervising carpentry work within homeless shelters and other related facilities, ensuring all projects meet NYC DOB, DOH, and FDNY safety standards and regulations, and coordinating with other trades and departments to ensure project completion.
