Responsibilities include managing department staff, developing and maintaining procedures, supervising preventative maintenance schedules, and conducting patrols to protect personnel and property.

Requirements
- Assists director in managing the department of maintenance
- Ensures department staff are managed effectively
- Develops and maintains procedures and staffing manuals
- Supervises the preventative maintenance schedules
- Assists department director in maintaining the engineering capability
- Conducts patrols by vehicle or on foot with objective of protecting personnel and property
- Develops goals and work projects (maintenance, lawn care) and ensures they are completed
- Assists in facility inspections and corrects any maintenance deficiencies
- Performs or ensures that preventative maintenance, repairs, etc. are completed on all facility equipment
- Manage staff effectively, including productivity, hiring, evaluation of performance, and conducting disciplinary/counseling sessions
