Supervisor of Accounts Payable

The Supervisor of Accounts Payable is responsible for the daily operations of the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission’s Accounts Payable process. This position requires consistent attention to detail and exceptional attendance.

What You Will Do

Manage daily workflow, supervise Accounts Payable Specialist, oversee accounts payable workflow, review and process invoices, and generate regular expense reports.

This role requires 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, or financial analysis, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related area, and prior supervisory experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ work experience in accounts payable, accounting, or financial analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related area
• Prior supervisory, project management and/or team leadership experience
• Ability to create specialized reports from various platforms
• Hands-on experience with process improvement and implementing Standard Operating Procedures
• Experience in Commonwealth accounting system (Mosaic), Commonwealth Information Warehouse (CIW), Commonwealth State procurement platform (Commbuys)
• Advanced skills in Enterprise systems, and/or MOSAIC the Commonwealth Accounting System
• Effective communicator with the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and fellow employees
• Experience working with confidential information
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Access
• Detail oriented while working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attendance
