Supervisor, Pathology Gross Room

Requirements

• Develops and mentors staff including but not limited to providing feedback, encouraging growth, and fostering training and education opportunities to ensure highest level of patient care.
• Responsible for competency assessment of personnel in assigned area.
• Oversees laboratory compliance with all regulatory agencies by established standards in collaboration with the manager.
• Identifies strategies for the accurate and timely performance of high complexity testing in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Assist with enterprise level effort standardization, centralization and optimization of anatomic pathology.
• Monitors quality assurance of personnel and established laboratory processes.
• Ensures the effective and efficient allocation of resources.
• Builds and maintains positive relationships with patients, clients, coworkers, and staff and encourages a team culture.
• Evaluates data for trends in productivity using LIS resources such as AP dashboard, and works with the Medical Director to develop productivity thresholds and determine current and future staffing needs.
• Additional Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards.
