Role OverviewThe Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing security operations during an assigned shift to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, employees, physicians, visitors, and hospital property.
What You Will Do
This role supervises security personnel, coordinates responses to security and safety incidents, ensures appropriate follow-up and accurate documentation of all events, and promotes compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory, security, and/or law enforcement experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of hospital and system-wide policies and procedures
- Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment when responding to security and safety incidents
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records and reports
- Ability to react appropriately and effectively in emergency situations
- Knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid
- Knowledge of portable fire extinguishers and their locations throughout the facility
- Skill in the operation of portable radio communication devices
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to walk quickly and climb stairs when responding to incidents and emergencies
- Ability to see and hear accurately in both daytime and nighttime conditions
- Ability to assist with moving or lifting patients in excess of 100 pounds when necessary
- Ability to work outdoors and perform duties in adverse weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and snow
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, motivate, and support security personnel
- Ability to provide professional, courteous, and customer-focused service to patients, visitors, physicians, and staff
