Role Overview

This role will be responsible for assuring the goals and objectives are met via leading and or participation in process improvement activities, problem solving, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

What You Will Do

Evaluate, qualify, and approve suppliers, conduct supplier audits, monitor supplier performance, lead supplier development activities, problem investigation, statistical analysis, build inspection plans, participate in waiver, MRB, and PPAP meetings, and work with QE on supplier related issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill set
  • Proficiency in Quality Core Tools: PFMEA, Contral Plans, Process Maps, Work Instructions
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015/IATF 16949 QMS standards
  • Lead auditor certification
  • Risk management
  • APQP
  • Six Sigma methodologies
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Reading technical drawings and technical documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
