Role Overview

This graduate program in Supply, Trading & Shipping (ST&S) at bp offers a fast-paced, high-impact role in the global energy trading environment. The Analytics track within the program focuses on partnering with commercial decision makers to deliver value through unique analytics and innovative solutions, while also supporting bp's net zero strategy.

What You Will Do

As an ST&S graduate in the Analytics track, you will complete three rotations over three years in market analytics, structuring, and data science. Responsibilities include performing regular and ad-hoc fundamental market analysis to support trading and origination, generating fundamental and technical trade ideas, identifying gaps in analytics processes, and assisting with recruiting and development efforts.

Requirements

  • Working toward Bachelor's degree
  • Graduating between December 2026 and May 2027
  • Current Cumulative GPA Minimum 3.0
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions (bp will not support U.S. Immigration sponsorship for full-time or long-term employment)
  • Must be available to start on agreed upon global program start date (June 21, 2027)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong technical skills (math, statistics, programming, etc.)
  • Experience with Excel and/or some type of programming language (Python, R, etc.)
