Role OverviewInova Mt Vernon Hospital Operating Room is seeking a Surgical Technologist 3 to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for recognizing safety hazards, anticipating unscheduled procedures, and demonstrating superior knowledge in stressful situations.
What You Will Do
The Surgical Technologist 3 will assist with the flow of the daily operating room schedule, accept responsibility for judgments and actions, and support departmental goals and educational programs.

This role requires a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) via NCCT, with a minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in Ortho, Trauma, Neuro, Robotics, and Vascular.
Requirements
- Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) via NCCT
- Licensure - Registered Surgical Technologist - Upon Start
- Registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Surgical Technologist at time of hire
- Experience - 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience
- Education - High School diploma or equivalent
