Role OverviewThe Surgery Coordinator serves as the primary point of coordination for patients undergoing thoracic surgical procedures. This role is responsible for managing surgical scheduling, coordinating pre- and post-operative care, communicating with patients and healthcare providers, and ensuring all required documentation is complete for a seamless surgical experience.
What You Will Do
Coordinate all aspects of surgical scheduling, arrange and coordinate pre-operative testing, preparation, and post-operative follow-up appointments, serve as a liaison between patients, surgeons, hospitals, referring providers, and other members of the healthcare team.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in a healthcare office setting, including scheduling, surgical coordination, and/or insurance authorizations
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
