Role OverviewThe Surgery Scheduler schedules and preauthorizes surgeries and specialized procedures for the physician/medical practice. The role involves reviewing pre-op tests, managing pre-certifications, and maintaining a surgical log for statistical analysis. The Scheduler must be able to respond to scheduling changes/cancellations in a timely, accurate manner.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include scheduling office, surgery centers, and hospital-based medical procedures, pre-authorizing surgeries, maintaining a surgical log, providing pre-surgical packets, and coordinating with surgical facilities.
