Role OverviewThe Surgery Scheduling Manager is responsible for overseeing and participating in the performance of all duties relating to the scheduling processes. This position has frequent interactions with various departments.
What You Will Do
Coordinates work schedules and workflow of the department, updates the Administrator on the performance status of the department, and performs staff in-services.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in related field preferred
- 5 years' scheduling experience plus supervisory experience required
- Knowledge of database management
- Knowledge in healthcare systems operations such as EMR
- Knowledge of health care planning and management principles and practices
- Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare coding systems, and clinics functions
- Knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Delivers exceptional patient service throughout all interactions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Skill in using computer programs and applications including Microsoft Office
- Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
- Complies with all health and safety policies of the organization
- Customer-oriented with ability to remain calm in difficult situations
- Skill in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising
- Skill in leading team members to carry out all job objectives while inspiring confidence and motivation
