Role OverviewThe Surgical Pathology Technician – “Grosser” performs grossing functions in compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and client requirements. The position works under the technical oversight of the Pathologist Assistant and reports to Histology Leadership. The role requires knowledge of anatomy and pathology specimen dissection, the ability to understand complex work processes, and the ability to coordinate activities with other departments and clients.
What You Will Do
Perform grossing of surgical specimens of low to moderate complexity, assist Pathologist Assistants with additional duties, and assist with training new Pathology Technicians. The position may also support additional duties related to higher-complexity specimens based on experience and level.
