Requirements

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
  • Completion of an appropriate training program for surgical technology in the US military or US public health services, or employment in a healthcare facility before September 1, 2009
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) course approved by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
  • 2 years' experience with knowledge of eight to ten surgical specialties and ability to operate basic/standard operating room equipment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
