Role OverviewThe Surgical Tech at Mass General Hospital plays an important role in the operating room and is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment, as well as assists with the peri-operative care of patients. The environment is fast-paced, energetic, collaborative, and innovative. This role is an assistive role in providing patient care and other duties related to the preparation and maintenance of the GI Endoscopy suite environment.
What You Will Do
Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, set up sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment required for the surgery, transport patients to the operating room, help with positioning on the surgical table, and ensure their safety and comfort during the procedure.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - preferred
- Certified Surgical Technologist [CST] - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) - preferred
- Dental Assistant [State License] - preferred
- Medical Technician [New Hampshire License] - New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy - preferred
- Experience as a Surgical Technologist I or in a similar role 0-1 year required and One (1) year experience as Surgical Technologist in a similar setting 1-2 years preferred
