Role OverviewAssists nursing personnel in giving quality care to patients in the Operating Room, performing duties and responsibilities of a 'scrub' person under the direction of a registered, professional nurse.
What You Will Do
Performs duties such as checking and gathering instruments, assisting with counts of sponges and instruments, and breaking down setup for sterilization.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be a certified surgical technologist with prior OR Technician experience, and hold a good standing with NYS regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion from a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technologist
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- Prior OR Technician experience
- BCLS certification
