Job Description

Surgical Technologist Intern supports operative teams by assisting with procedures where competency has been demonstrated.

Requirements

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using nursing interventions in order to assist them to attain, maintain regain, and sustain optimal health status.
Provides patient care/function in primary scrub position in procedures that competency has been demonstrated.
Assists with technical responsibilities in assigned operative procedures.
Assures appropriate instruments/supplies are present and in proper working condition.
Provides labeled medications with correct doses on the sterile field medication.
Performs other duties which support the operative team, includes following patient care hand-off protocol.
