Role OverviewAssist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. Prepare the operating room, set up surgical instruments and equipment, and tend to patients during pre-operation procedures.
What You Will Do
Prepare patients for surgery, assemble and check equipment, pass instruments to surgeons, and assist with putting on sterile gowns and gloves. Observe patients' vital signs and assist with transferring patients to the recovery room.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be certified to perform CPR, have 1-2 years of clinical experience, and be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
- Certified to perform CPR
