Job Description
H2M architects + engineers seeks a Survey Crew Chief to plan, organize, and execute land surveying projects. The candidate will select and apply standard surveying techniques in the field and office.

Requirements

  • Receive instructions on specific assignments, objectives and complex features
  • Perform a variety of in-office and field tasks associated with land surveying projects
  • Operate surveying equipment, such as Total Stations, Data Collectors, GPS RTK & Static Observations
  • Accurately calculate and record field data
  • Review job specifications and plans fieldwork methods and costs
  • Apply standard scientific/engineering techniques, procedures and criteria
  • Review and download field data
  • Prepare field notes and draw sketches of existing site conditions
  • Prepare detailed daily job reports and discuss projects with supervisor
  • Maintain and troubleshoot complex instrumentation
  • Drafting and editing of surveys using AutoCAD Civil 3D
