Job Description
The Montana Department of Transportation is recruiting a Surveyor II or III in the Billings District. The Surveyor II is responsible for performing advanced technical and professional field survey work, while the Surveyor III is responsible for planning and performing professional survey work, including organizing and overseeing survey projects and analyzing evidence to determine boundary locations.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field
  • 2 years of survey experience for Surveyor II and 2 years of progressively responsible professional land survey experience for Surveyor III
  • Certification as a Land Surveyor Intern or Registration as a Montana Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)
