Job Description
Role Overview

The Surveyor is accountable for overseeing various duties to facilitate the completion of pile driving for construction projects. They supervise daily on-going operations and ensure completion of projects in accordance with company standards.

What You Will Do

The Surveyor will work with the Project Superintendent and jobsite work crews to ensure accurate construction stakeout. They will oversee existing site surveys, as-built surveys, and control line surveys, and participate in pre-survey meetings with Project Managers and contractor representatives.

The Surveyor must have a strong knowledge of mathematics, survey computer programs, and survey computations. They must also have the ability to carry out written and oral directions, and to do transit and level work.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Surveying or related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Surveyor
  • Prior hands-on work experience in heavy civil or marine construction
  • Strong knowledge of mathematics, survey computer programs, and survey computations
  • Ability to carry out written and oral directions
  • Ability to do transit and level work
