Role Overview

The Sustainability Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and developing strategies to improve sustainability in the San Mateo County Office of Education. The role will involve working with various stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop plans to implement sustainable practices. The Sustainability Analyst will also be responsible for ensuring that the office's sustainability efforts are aligned with the county's overall sustainability goals.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Sustainability Analyst will include analyzing data and developing reports on the office's sustainability performance, identifying areas for improvement and developing plans to implement sustainable practices, working with stakeholders to develop and implement sustainability initiatives, and ensuring that the office's sustainability efforts are aligned with the county's overall sustainability goals.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in environmental studies, social science, education, or a closely related field
  • Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience involving sustainability, environmental education, solid waste management, and/or resource conservation preferably in an educational setting
