Role OverviewPerforms laboratory and diagnostic procedures in Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Serology, Coagulation, and Phlebotomy to provide information for diagnosing and combating disease. Works independently to maximize department efficiency and ensures specimen integrity.
What You Will Do
Performs instrument start-up, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting, performs Quality Control, and interprets test results for accuracy and acceptability.

Requirements
- Associates Degree or educational requirements to become certified with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), National Credentialing Agency (NCA), or the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Bachelors Degree or educational requirements to become certified with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), National Credentialing Agency (NCA), the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- 10 years of hospital lab experience required without certification
- 1 or more years of experience in the clinical laboratory field required without a Bachelor's degree
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification within 180 Days
- Medical Technologist (MT) certification within 180 Days
- Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) certification within 180 Days
- ASCP Specialist Certification (MB, SBB, SC, SH, or SM) within 180 Days
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification within 180 Days
- Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification within 180 Days
- Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) certification within 180 Days
- United States Military Laboratory training program certificate of completion
