Role OverviewThe Y is the nation's largest provider of swim lessons, dedicated to improving water safety and swimming skills for all ages. As a part-time Swim Instructor, you'll provide direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for participants in our swim classes.
What You Will Do
Teach swimming and water safety skills to students of varying ages and ability levels, from Parent/Child to Adult classes. Instruct students in swimming and exercise fundamentals in accordance with YMCA standards.

Must be at least 16 years of age. Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Comfortable working with participants of all ages and skill levels.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.

- Current certifications in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid, and Swim Instructor training are a plus.
- Ability to demonstrate proper swim instruction techniques and safely lift equipment and small-to-average-size children.
- Pass a 10-panel urinalysis drug screening
- Clear a Level 2 background check*
