Role OverviewThe Swim Instructor provides direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes. The role is part of the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit, a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the foundation of community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
What You Will Do
Instructs swimming lessons, prepares lesson plans, builds relationships with parents and students, conveys information on aquatics programs, and maintains records.

Requirements
- At a minimum, some high school level education (over 16+ years of age)
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid certification, and Emergency Oxygen
- Current YMCA Swim Instructor certification OR training provided
