Role OverviewThe Swim Instructor provides direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes. This role involves instructing swimming lessons, building relationships with parents and students, and maintaining records.
What You Will Do
Instructs swimming lessons, prepares lesson plans, builds relationships with parents and students, conveys information on aquatics programs, and maintains records.

The ideal candidate is able to instruct and observe participants in proper stroke techniques, lift equipment, and build effective relationships with parents and students.
Requirements
- At a minimum, some high school level education (over 16+ years of age)
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid certification, and Emergency Oxygen
- Current YMCA Swim Instructor certification OR training provided
