Role OverviewThe Swing driver is responsible for servicing customer accounts dispatched to him/her throughout the day, collecting and hauling waste, recycling materials or containers to a disposal site or recycling plant as directed by dispatch.
What You Will Do
Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, documents checks utilizing the standard DVIR, and reports all unsafe situations or service-related issues to Route Manager or Dispatch.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have the ability to drive manual transmission or willing to learn, a valid Class B CDL, and a valid DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire.
Requirements
- Valid Class B CDL
- Valid DOT medical card
- Ability to drive manual transmission or willing to learn
- No DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
- No license suspensions within the last 2 years
- No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
- Ability to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training
