Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned, highly skilled Swiss Type Programmer & Machinist with Star CNC expertise to join our valued client partner. The selected candidate will take ownership of programming strategy, tooling selection, setup validation, and ongoing machining improvements to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Develop and edit CNC programs for Star Swiss-type machines
  • Perform full machine setups including guide bushing configuration, tooling layout, and offset adjustments
  • Interpret detailed blueprints and GD&T requirements to ensure dimensional accuracy
  • Validate first articles and conduct in-process inspections
  • Optimize programs to improve cycle times while maintaining quality standards
  • Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, feeds and speeds, surface finish, and tolerances
  • Create and maintain setup documentation and standardized process sheets
  • Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve dimensional or process concerns
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the machining cell
