Job Description
The Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Diverse Learners Teacher for the Shoop Math Sci Tech Acad on the Far South Side. The position involves teaching and mentoring students with special needs, working with case managers and counselors, and participating in a multidisciplinary team to promote students' well-being. A valid teaching license from the Illinois State Board of Education is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
  • Completion of the CPS online application and teaching profile
  • Valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education with the appropriate endorsement(s) for the role
  • Residency in the City of Chicago within six months of employment
  • Passing a tuberculosis test, drug test, and state and federal criminal background checks
