Job Description
CLASS TITLE: Teacher. Responsible for the instruction, progress, and discipline of all pupils in assigned classes. Implements instructional methods, evaluates pupils' progress, and maintains accurate records. Exhibits and applies knowledge of the curriculum content and promotes student growth in self-discipline and positive self-concept.
Requirements
Successful completion of all student teaching requirements and all course work required to obtain the appropriate teaching certificate(s) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
Possession of a valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
Knowledge of subject matter consistent with state certification requirements, contemporary principles and practices of teaching, and classroom and behavior management techniques.
