Role OverviewThe ideal candidate must possess an active TS/SCI with POLY and be responsible for providing support for a large-scale Linux system including installation of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the compute, network, memory, and storage system components. The System Administrator shall maintain the system security integrity and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
What You Will Do
Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems, provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems, manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems, provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems, and optimize system operations and resource utilization.

Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with POLY
- Fifteen (15) years' experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite systems management solution
- Familiarity using Splunk for ingesting, indexing, searching, monitoring, and analyzing big data
- Experience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution
- Experience configuring and sustaining VMware ESXi/Virtualization environments
- Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as SaltStack and Ansible
- Experience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and procedures
- Experience using system monitoring tools such as HPE One View and Nagios
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
