Role Overview

Join Amazon's Network Configuration Management team as a System Development Engineer III to create software that manages IT infrastructure across Amazon's global network of Fulfillment Centers. Design and implement scalable network configuration management systems that automate deployment and validation across diverse network equipment.

What You Will Do

Design and build scalable network configuration management systems, develop full-stack automation solutions, architect configuration drift detection and remediation frameworks, own end-to-end delivery of projects, drive technical strategy, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • Knowledge of at least one modern object-oriented programming language such as C++, Java, Objective C
  • Knowledge of OS concepts / Linux/Unix Systems administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, Solaris, etc)
  • Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of systems development experience
  • 6+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby experience
  • Strong knowledge in distributed system design, operating systems (OS), storage, or network administration
